Recombinant Prokaryotic Lectins

Recombinant Prokaryotic Lectins

Recombinant lectins may offer a more reproducible alternative to their native counterparts, making them particularly suitable for Critical Quality Attribute (CQA) biotherapeutic manufacturing.

Lectin specificity for its carbohydrate moiety can be useful for purifying glycoproteins, such as fucosylated therapeutic antibodies, as the same purification method can be employed irrespective of the antibody's specificity.

RPL's can be used for biolayer inferometry (BLI) assays, to provide label free, high throughput real time glycoanalysis compared to HPLC.
