PHOENIXDX® 2019-NCOV is a real-time RT-PCR-based detection system for the 2019 Wuhan coronavirus (2019-nCoV) with New FDA Approval. 2019-nCoV is considered a novel human coronavirus that is genetically distinct from the common human coronaviruses (229E, NL63, OC43, HKU1), which cause seasonal acute respiratory illness. It is also genetically distinct from the two newer human coronaviruses, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV.

PHOENIXDX® 2019-NCOV detects the presence of 3 different and highly specific gene sequences of 2019-nCoV: E gene, N gene and RdRP gene. All 3 assays must be tested positive to confirm the sample as 2019-nCoV-positive.

Additionally, a non-infectious positive control and a negative human extraction control are included. The positive control is used to confirm functionality of the assays and overall PCR performance, the negative human extraction control is included to evaluate the quality of the RNA isolation independently from the 2019-nCoV assays.

NEW! PHOENIXDX® SARS-COV-2 MUTANT SCREEN [N501Y] is a real-time RT-PCR-based diagnostic test for the in vitro discrimination between wildtype SARS-CoV-2 and N501Y mutant SARS-CoV-2 in respiratory specimens and sera. The kit is intended to detect the N501Y mutation in samples already tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Viral RNA+DNA Preparation Kit

is designed for rapid and effective isolation of RNA and DNA from a variety of pathogen organisms such as virus or bacteria. Samples can be fresh or frozen plasma/blood (treated with anticoagulants excepted heparin), serum, other cell-free body fluids or pathogen-infected tissue.

The Kit is specifically designed to isolate high-quality nucleic acids using low elution volumes and allowing sensitive downstream analysis including quantitative PCR and RT-PCR. The purified RNA/DNA is free of proteins and nucleases. Viral RNA+DNA Preparation Kit uses lysis buffer including chaotropic salts to inactivate RNases/DNases and advanced silica-gel membrane technology for fast purification of intact RNA/DNA. The preparation procedure is optimized to give reproducible results within 30 min.

Also RNase-free Water is suitable to experiment and research of RNA. The RNase-free Water, non DEPC, was prepared from highly purified water by ultrafiltration without DEPC treatment. The product was confirmed to be free from Rnase and Dnase.
