B7-H3, also referred to as CD276, is a member of the B7 family. While many molecules within this family are known to interact with immune checkpoints such as CD28, CTLA-4 and PD-1, the receptor for B7-H3 has not yet been fully characterised. B7-H3 is induced on antigen presenting cells by inflammatory cytokines and plays an important role in inhibiting T-cell function. It is also over-expressed within many human cancers, highlighting its importance as a therapeutic target to reduce cancer cell proliferation, progression, and metastasis.
